As a blanket of white transforms North Idaho, visitors at Western Pleasure Guest Ranch enjoy scenic horse-drawn sleigh rides or wagon rides powered by one of our draft teams. Jake and Julie, Doc and Duke, Bess and Fancy, or Major will make you feel like a child again as they plod and jingle through a 2-mile loop trail of dense forests in the foothills of the Cabinet Mountains with fantastic views of the Selkirk Mountain Range. The ride follows a two-mile loup route which takes about a half-hour.
With a wide variety of horse-drawn sleighs/wagons, including a five-passenger, three twelve passengers, and a two-passenger, we have the right size sleigh to accommodate your group. Sleigh rides are scheduled Monday – Saturday on the hour 11:00 to 6:00 pm and on Sundays 2:00 to 6:00 pm. Sorry, we do not offer sleigh/wagon rides on December 24th and 25th or January 1st. A 50% nonrefundable deposit is due at the time of booking.
If Old Man Winter hasn’t moved in and we don’t have enough snow for a sleigh ride, we simply switch the sleighs from runners to tires. You still get to enjoy the same vehicle, the same beautiful horses, and the same scenic two-mile loop route.

Make your ranch outing a whole evening event on one of our Dinner, Sleigh Ride, and Concert events. Start your evening out on a group sleigh ride pulled by one of our teams of draft horses. After the ride, enjoy a hearty ranch gourmet dinner in the log lodge. Finish the night with an intimate concert with a talented local musician.
