| Dear friends at Western Pleasure Ranch:
Thank
you for the great five days that we spent with you. We are reliving
every memory over and over. It was such a good time for us. Les was a
farm boy, so it brought back wonderful memories for him without all of
the work. The girls and I were able to experience a wonderful taste of
so many things that we would have never known. Even my Mom had a good
time. It was a nice change of pace for her that was good for her and
she did enjoy.
It is sometimes hard for me to
resist bringing my memories into closer reality by calling out,
"Lariat", as our new friend, Marci, would; or "Lady, Come in", as Brad,
the real cowboy with that great western drawl would. We loved watching
those little dogs happily run in and out through the horses with their
ears flopping and their tongues hanging out.
The
best memories of all will always be the day we went to the cascading
waterfall and the evening at the camp fire for dinner by Marci and the
guitars and songs by Roley and Brad and the violins (fiddles) and songs
by Isaac and Danielle.

everybody how's it goin'? Man I had SO MUCH FUN this year at camp it
was awesome. I just want to say thank you for putting up with me for a
whole 5 days I no it was tough but we all got through it. Please have
camp next year. If you didn't have it you no how sad i would be. Me and
Amanda talk about it all year round and can't wait to go again. And you
should think about making it longer. Well, I hope everybody is doing
great and I'll e-mail you guys again.

From the first glimpse of the ranch and your heart felt welcome- we
knew the evening would be exceptional. The decorations were a work of
art. What a pleasure to have Brad & little Heather take us on our
ride by moonlight & twinkling stars. Then to come and feast on your
delicious salmon and beef with all the trimmings...
The music and Danielle's Happy B-day on the violin just topped it off.

A
long time ago, ten years or so, I was a teenage girl that loved horses
above anything else but didn't have many opportunities to ride them. I
had the fortune to participate in your youth horse camp for four years
in a row and to this day I have not been able to surpass that
experience. It never felt like a "camp" to me, but it felt like a home
away from home. The last two years at Western Pleasure I had the
amazing fortune to ride Thunder and I truly thought of him as my own. I
had to bite back my jealousy when I saw someone else ride him when he
was in that movie a few years later. Your kindness and hospitality was
beyond compare and that week each summer I was able to spend with you
for those four years will forever stay with me..
I
now live in Phoenix, AZ and have recently felt a little homesick
because nothing can compare to the Pacific Northwest and it's
wilderness. So when I envision the beauty of Eastern Washington and
North Idaho, the picture that will remain ingrained in my mind that
portrays my old stomping ground at it's best is your ranch and it's
magnificent surroundings. It always amazed me that such a beautiful
place could exist so close to where I grew up in Spokane. Every time I
went to Schweitzer to snowboard, drove to Canada through Sandpoint, or
camped at Priest Lake I thought of Western Pleasure.
In
remembrance of those days my curiosity was aroused as to how things
were going for such an amazing family and their beautiful ranch. I
chanced upon your website and was extremely pleased to see that you
appear to successfully continue to create happiness in those who have
the opportunity to stay with you. I hope many more will get to
experience the beauty and friendliness that I did. Thank you so much
for those weeks and one day I might be able to visit again, this time
as an adult.

Janice, Roley and everyone else,
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the wonderful stay we
had at your ranch last week. Although my tan is starting to fade under
the flourescent lights of work, the memories of our week (and
especially my loping ride with Melissa) are sustaining me. From start
to finish we had a perfect stay. The accommodations were beautiful and
perfectly situated to keep our family happy. The food was plentiful and
delicious and the riding was outstanding. I even need to compliment you
on your choice of guests! Having such a small group there really
fostered great friendships that I hope will last beyond this summer.
All in all, I'd recommend your ranch to anyone and hope we have an
opportunity to visit again in the future.

Just
wanted to tell you all I had a great time at the ranch and I hope I can
come back again soon. Didn't get a chance to say goodbye to Brad, so
tell him "hey" and that I liked his songs. Great company, food, fun,
etc. Have told people at work about the ranch and believe some will be
visiting you in the near future. Roley, please thank your parents again
for going so out of their way to take me to the airport. They were very
gracious.

Wonderful all around!
We
just got back from 4 days at the Western Pleasure Guest Ranch and the
pleasure was all ours. What a wonderful place. Janice and Roley are
gracious hosts, as are their two talented children. The lodge and cabin
were beautiful and the food was terrific. The riding was outstanding.
The wranglers led us through beautiful terrain on well-trained horses.
We even got to try herding a few errant cows. My only complaint was
that our stay was too short. We received the royal treatment and I
can't wait to get back. Thank you!!

Every year gets better!!!!
This
is my third trip to Idaho and I love it more and more each year!
Western Pleasure continues to be an outstanding place to vacation and
ride. This trip I didn't miss one ride, I went out on an all day ride
and I participated in team penning, which was more fun than I ever
could have imagined. As always, I look forward to my next visit and
seeing my Idaho "family" again. You couldn't pick a better ranch to
visit than Western Pleasure!!!

My second vacation at the ranch
This
visit was my second stay at this ranch. The Schoonovers made me feel
like I came home for a family visit. I have definitely left my heart
out there in Idaho. The food was all home cooked and delicious. You
could not ask for a better riding experience on their calm, quiet
horses. The trails are beautiful. I just loved riding in the forests
and meadows. The guides, Brad and Melissa, take you to these very
beautiful places on horseback. I certainly hope to be back next year
for my third visit.

What a wonderful place to share with good friends & family!!
It's
been over a week since the "New Yorkers" were at Western Pleasure Guest
Ranch.I know I can speak for each of us when I say none of us wanted to
leave that morning. This was the second trip to the ranch for many in
our group from NY. I was not able to make it last year. Jack, Susan,
Suzanne, Michelle, Ken & the kids just raved about the Ranch when
they came home. I think Michelle described it best when she said it was
a "magical place." I was really happy when they said they were going
back this year. When we got to the ranch, I knew exactly what Michelle
meant...it was magical! The lodge was beautiful! Every meal was home
cooked and OUTRAGEOS! The horses were perfectly matched to every riders
abililty. The trail rides were always fun and so,so beautiful. I highy
recommend Western Pleasure Guest Ranch to anyone who is interested in
riding great horses, eating delicious food & sitting by a campfire
just having a old fashioned good time!
