As a blanket of white transforms North Idaho, visitors at Western Pleasure Guest Ranch enjoy scenic horse-drawn sleigh rides powered by one of our draft teams. Bud and Velvet, Bill and Larry, Selma and Justice, or Lady and Abbie will make you feel like a child again as they plod and jingle through a 2 mile loop trail of dense forests and fantastic views of the Selkirk Mountains. With a wide variety of horse-drawn sleighs, including a five passenger, ten passenger and two twelve passengers, we will be sure to have the right combination to accommodate your group. Rides are scheduled Monday - Saturday on the hour 11:00 to 6:00 and on Sundays 2:00 to 6:00. Sorry, no rides on December 24th and 25th.

If you are looking for a more intimate adventure, Amos' steady trot will wisk you back in time as you glide along in this one horse open sleigh built just for two passengers. But be careful, this winter magic has cast its spell and set the stage for many marriage proposals.
To complete your nostalgic winter experience you will be invited into the lodge to warm up in front of a crackling fire and enjoy hot drinks and fresh popped popcorn. Also available is a sleigh ride and dinner package. What could be better for your group or family then a hearty "country gourmet" dinner served in the lodge after your sleigh ride.
Winter fun also includes cross-country skiing, snow shoeing and down hill sledding.

A SIMPLE CHRISTMAS – SLEIGH RIDES AND CHRISTMAS TREES
Gather the family together, bundle up and get ready to enjoy this family outing at the Western Pleasure Guest Ranch.
Load up on one of our horse drawn sleighs and enjoy a scenic ride to the tree lot. There you will pick out a fresh cut locally grown Christmas tree, while staying warm at the bonfire. Then gather the family and your tree and ride the sleigh back to the lodge where you will be served fresh popped popcorn, hot chocolate, and coffee.
Reservations are required and available beginning Sunday, November 29th and ending December 19th or until trees are gone.
Dates and times:
Sundays – Nov, 29th, Dec. 6th, Dec. 13th at 3:00, 4:00, and 5:00
Wednesdays – Dec. 2nd, 9th, and 16th, at 4:00, 5:00 and 6:00
Fridays – Dec. 4th and 11th at 4:00, 5:00, and 6:00
Saturdays – Dec. 5th , 12th , 19th at 11:00, 12:00 and 1:00
Cost including tree is $90.00 plus tax for a family of four.
Each additional person is $15.00. Kids five and under are free.
If not enough snow wagon rides will be substituted.
